Jo has extensive experience that has spanned over 10 years across a number of large scale multidisciplinary civil and rail infrastructure projects in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria including the Airport Link Northern Busway ($4.3b), the Victorian Desalination Plant ($4b), the Country Regional Network ($1.5b) Sydney Metro NorthWest ($3.7b) and the Woolgoolga to Ballina Pacific Highway Upgrade Project ($4.3b).
Her portfolio includes the responsibility and management of Human Resources, industrial relations, workforce development, industry participation, Aboriginal participation and social procurement.
Jo is a member of the Employer Mobilisation Group, an initiative of the Commonwealth Government’s Department of Jobs and Small Business (formerly the Department of Employment). The group works as an interface and advisory committee between government and industry, to ensure federal funding programs targeted at youth unemployment and disadvantaged Aboriginal youth, are meeting the needs of both employers and its participants. Jo is passionate about driving the application of social justice principles to procurement processes and delivery methods in the construction industry.
