PANEL: Pathways to Entering Digital Construction Roles with Women in BIM

08 May 2025
AI & DIGITAL CONSTRUCTION STAGE
Digital construction careers are becoming increasingly significant as the construction industry undergoes a technological transformation. The integration of data-driven processes and effective information management throughout the asset lifecycle, enabled by approaches such as Information Management (IM), Digital Engineering (DE), and advancements like laser scanning, 3D printing, and Artificial Intelligence (AI), is transforming construction and the operations of the built environment. These innovations have the opportunity to streamline project planning, improve accuracy, and enhance efficiency, making design, construction and asset management more accurate, efficient and cost-effective. For these benefits to be realised however the construction sector must define digital roles and bring in a new workforce of digital professionals to meet the rapidly growing industry need. This panel of industry experts will explain various digital roles that currently exist in the construction sector, and the pathways for people to enter this career path.
