Schmid Schrauben Hainfeld is the only screw manufacturer in Austria that has been producing formed parts with the highest precision for more than 180 years. The focus of production is on timber construction screws and fasteners.

Schmid Schrauben Hainfeld, based in Lower Austria, was established in 1842 and today has 160 employees. As a specialist in cold forming, the company produces around 10,000 tons of screws and fasteners annually.

The company's core competencies are the development and production of structural screws for the wood industry, in particular for structural timber construction and carpentry. The standard range offers dimensions from 3mm – 16mm in diameter and lengths from 16mm – 1500mm.

The RAPID® and StarDrive GPR® brands are the company's flagship products and are certified to meet leading construction product regulations such as ETA in Europe, UKCA for the United Kingdom and ICC-ES for the USA.
