Alison is an architect and Associate Director of Bates Smart, and Vice-Chair of the Australian Health Design Council. The Australian Health Design Council is a professional association with a mission to elevate health facility design across Australia. As a non-profit and non-government organisation, AHDC’s aim is to establish and promote a shared vision for high quality, efficient and effective health facility design that responds to the needs of the Australian populace in terms of respecting the rights and requirements of patients, the health workforce, the community and a sustainable natural/built environment.
