Statement: Having served as a registered nurse, occupational health and safety officer and paramedic, I've witnessed and managed patients and workers with acute and chronic mental health conditions that impact on their personal and working life in many ways. with the stigma of mental health expressed verbally and non-verbally by employers and work colleagues. all of which mostly unfounded and misinformed and misunderstood. There is a lot of work to be done to bridge the cap of perception verses understanding and a true understanding of mental health in society and the workplace.  Therefore, to be an ambassador in this program would be an honor and make a contribution to a greatly misunderstood subject in the workplace and its management.
