Ms. Doris U. Gacho joined the Construction Industry Authority of the Philippines (CIAP) in 2018 as Executive Director of the Philippine Overseas and Domestic Construction Board (PODCB). Working directly with the Philippine construction industry’s leaders and staunch advocates to champion the industry’s sustained growth, ED Gacho’s leadership in two of CIAP’s implementing boards -- the Overseas and Domestic Construction Boards, paved the way for renewed and strengthened partnerships with stakeholders, both government and private.

As a testament to stakeholders’ commitment to continuously collaborate to achieve the industry’s vision of a globally competitive construction industry, the Philippine Construction Industry Roadmap 2020-2030 was crafted in 2019. The Roadmap anchors CIAP’s programs and guides the industry as it forge ahead to continuously contribute to the country’s economic development. To date, ED Gacho continues to work for the Roadmap’s implementation especially its advocacies including sustainability, modernization & digitalization and policy reform.

Ms. Gacho was Chief of the Corporate Planning Division of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM). She was Officer-In-Charge of CITEM’s Service Business Group prior to her stint with CIAP. Ms. Gacho has a Master in Government Management from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. She graduated from the University of the Philippines Diliman with a degree in AB Economics.
