Sam Gohari is an architect who builds more than spaces — he builds stories, memories, and moments that matter. As the founder of Sami Design, he leads with a rare balance of creativity, humility, and deep human understanding. Every line he draws is shaped by purpose, every space he creates is filled with feeling.
In 2016, Sam founded award-winning Sami Design Architects with the vision to create soulful, timeless spaces that honour both people and place.
Holding a Master’s degree in Architecture, and with over two decades of experience across architecture, construction, and design, Sam brings together vision and practicality like few can. He is a NSW Registered Architect, a licensed contractor, and an accredited Design Practitioner — qualifications that are grounded by real, hands-on site experience.
Sam believes that good design listens before it speaks. He sees architecture not as structure alone, but as a reflection of the people within — their hopes, habits, and heartbeats. Inspired by nature, philosophy, music, light and shadow, and quiet moments of life, his work speaks an emotional language that goes beyond aesthetics.
He embraces innovation through AI and emerging technology, enhancing client communication, refining design processes, and bringing ideas to life with clarity. Just as importantly, Sam is dedicated to building a positive, collaborative team culture where creativity and care thrive.
His journey has led to award-winning projects, meaningful collaborations, and a growing team who share his values. But his greatest reward is the trust and joy of clients whose lives are touched by thoughtful design.
Outside the studio, Sam is a devoted father, a gentle soul with a guitar in hand, and a seeker of knowledge who finds wisdom in books and beauty in simplicity.
