gaining significant cross-cultural experience in a broad range of sectors, project types, complexities, and scales.
With extensive experience in both, new built and refurbishment/heritage projects, and a keen interest in contemporary and urban design,
she is passionate about creating new relevance for the community on any project she is involved with.
Using strong, holistic concepts to guide the planning and building process, Katharina aligns innovative design ideas
and feasibilities with stakeholder expectations, to deliver outstanding architecture.
As a thought leader, she has contributed to several research and design catalogues,
focusing on topics such as sustainability and well-being in the built environment, and the inclusion of infrastructure projects within the urban context.
Katharina puts emphasis on creating a healthy environment that accounts for the importance of psychological well-being also
by means of incorporating nature and natural elements into the built context irrespective of its scale.
She is committed to mentoring others and to working collaboratively beyond hierarchical structures.
Katharina’s focus in the most recent years is on the health sector in its broader meaning,
which she is heading in her position as a Principal at ThomsonAdsett.”
Statement:
“Green cities are holistic ecosystems that allow buildings, infrastructure, and green spaces to form a sustainable symbiosis.
They minimise the ecological footprint urban areas typically have and provide a healthy environment that fosters well-being.”
“I believe that the impact we can make through leading by example is beyond measures. A small gesture can go a long way and often inspires and encourages others to carve new paths also.”
