Commencing his career as an apprentice carpenter in 1991, Marcus has seen and been part of the building and construction industry for 30 years holding all site based and administration based roles leading to the role of New Business Director with FDC. Complimented with experience outside the building and construction industry with 5 years in the hospitality industry in Australia and abroad which has galvanised an open and inclusive view of the world. Marcus‘s experience of working on projects across all sectors of the building and construction industry, under all types of contract terms and working closely with industry leaders to deliver award winning and most importantly enjoyable projects provides an experience and trustworthy partner. Being a husband and a father of 3 (2 girls and 1 boy) I am passionate about ensuring everybody has an opportunity to participate in a challenging yet rewarding industry, encouraging my kids to join the construction industry at every opportunity. With a passion for helping people succeed, Marcus encourages leadership, forming genuine relationships built on trust and reliability, to mentor and support everyone and to pass on the knowledge and experience to those who will come after us. Finally to listen to those who are on the way up because they too can contribute positively to build a better and more diverse building and construction industry in Australia.
