As an architect and urban designer at Arup, Mengi seeks to find practical and enduring design solutions–grounded in first principles–that help build a more inclusive and vital future. Committed to intergenerational learning, Mengi has taught architecture and design at UNSW, Yale University and in public middle school programs. Mengi is a polyglot – using her fluency across languages and skillsets to explore complex design problems. Her work aspires to build a more ecologically, culturally, and economically viable future through meaningful contributions of architecture and urban design.
