Stuart started with EJ early in 2018, becoming an Associate in 2019 and a Director in 2020. He leads the Eurobodalla team, with over 30 years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect, working in both the public and private sectors in Australia and the U.K.

Stuart has been involved in projects ranging from domestic design through to large scale commercial / industrial projects including recreational area planning and National Park design. In addition to working for State and Local Governments, Stuart was the Principal of his own private practice on the NSW South Coast for over 20 years, specialising in Landscape Architecture, sustainability, resource management and planning. Stuart’s passion for sustainability and his extensive experience in landscape design brings valuable knowledge to the Edmiston Jones team.

Parallel to his professional practice, Stuart also operated a sustainability business for 10 years on the far south coast of NSW. This business focussed on sustainability advice, solar installations, hydronic heating installations and a variety of sustainable retail lines.

Knowledge gained from all of these experiences has helped to inform Stuart’s desire to improve design outcomes from a target of zero carbon to a more aspirational goal of carbon positive for design projects.
