Valerie is a firm believer that the built environment can be a catalyst to regenerate the planet, if approached the right way.
She is part of the National Steering Committee of the ‘Architects Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency’ movement in Australia and works at BVN Architecture, helping shape their sustainability approach both in terms of design and operations.
Throughout her career, she has collaborated on several award-winning architectural projects and was a recipient of the Royal Institute of British Architects Bronze Medal commendation for her framework for social, environmental and economic sustainability for informal settlements in India.
She holds a Bachelor in Architecture from London Metropolitan University, a Masters in Architecture, Urbanism and Building Sciences from TU Delft, and is qualified as a Regenerative Practitioner through Regenesis Institute
